Privacy tools that never see your photos
Pixhide is a free set of tools to hide faces, license plates, text and hidden metadata before you share a photo. It all runs inside your browser.
Why it exists
Most online blur and EXIF tools ask you to upload the very photo you are trying to protect. Pixhide turns that around: the detection models and the image processing are downloaded to your device, and your photo stays there.
How it works
- Detection uses small YOLO models for faces and license plates, running with ONNX Runtime and WebAssembly in your browser.
- Redaction rewrites the pixels on a canvas, with strong pixelation by default, plus blur and solid cover.
- Metadata removal rebuilds each image from its pixels, so EXIF, GPS, IPTC and XMP data are not copied into the download.
- Batch mode processes up to 20 photos per selection and packs them into a ZIP, also on your device.
Honest limits
Automatic detection is very good, not perfect. Small, angled or partly hidden faces and plates can be missed, and text is never detected automatically. Every tool shows a preview so you can check and add manual boxes before downloading.
