Limits
This page skips automatic face and plate detection on purpose. For automatic anonymization, use Anonymize a photo or Blur faces.

- No. This page is a manual image redaction tool. Draw rectangles or brush strokes to black out text, addresses, names, and other sensitive regions.
- Can I redact a screenshot?
- Yes. Paste or upload a screenshot, cover the sensitive area with solid cover, and download a baked-in copy.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No. Redaction happens on a canvas in your browser.
- What styles are available?
- Solid cover (default here), pixelate, and blur. Solid is ideal when you want information fully unreadable.
- Does it remove metadata too?
- Yes, privacy-sensitive metadata can be stripped on export. Use Remove EXIF if you only need a metadata clean-up.
- Is Pixhide free?
- Yes. Redact images online with no account and no watermark.
