Limits

This page skips automatic face and plate detection on purpose. For automatic anonymization, use Anonymize a photo or Blur faces. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF. HEIC opens in your browser (Safari may decode natively; other browsers use a local converter loaded only when needed). Downloads are JPG, PNG or WebP.

FAQ

Is this an automatic face detector?
No. This page is a manual image redaction tool. Draw rectangles or brush strokes to black out text, addresses, names, and other sensitive regions.
Can I redact a screenshot?
Yes. Paste or choose a screenshot, cover the sensitive area with solid cover, and download a baked-in copy.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Redaction happens on a canvas in your browser.
What styles are available?
Solid cover (default here), pixelate, and blur. Solid is ideal when you want information fully unreadable.
Does it remove metadata too?
Yes, privacy-sensitive metadata can be stripped on export. Use Remove EXIF if you only need a metadata clean-up.
Is Pixhide free?
Yes. Redact images online with no account and no watermark. This page is single-image only; batch mode lives on the face, plate, anonymize and metadata tools.
