Remove EXIF Data from a Photo

Strip GPS, camera, date and private EXIF metadata from JPG, PNG and WebP images.

See what was found, then download a clean copy — without loading face or plate detectors.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload your photo

Choose the image that may still contain hidden camera or location metadata.

  2. 2

    Review findings

Pixhide lists GPS, device, date and other privacy-sensitive tags when they are present.

  3. 3

    Download a clean copy

Export a re-encoded file with private metadata removed.

Use cases

  • Sharing camera originals online
  • Client deliveries without location trails
  • Cleaning exports before archiving
  • Reducing fingerprinting via device tags

Privacy

Your photo stays on your device. Pixhide processes images directly in your browser. The original image, detected areas and exported file are not sent to our servers.

Limits

Some apps re-add metadata after download. Always verify the file you share. This page does not alter faces or plates in the image.

FAQ

What EXIF data is removed?
GPS, camera and device fields, timestamps, author tags, serial numbers, embedded thumbnails and similar privacy-sensitive EXIF, IPTC and XMP values are stripped by re-encoding the image in your browser.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Metadata is read and a clean copy is created locally. Face and plate models are not loaded on this page.
Will I see what was found?
Yes. After upload Pixhide lists findings such as GPS coordinates, device information, photo date and other embedded tags when present.
Does removing EXIF change the picture?
Pixels stay the same visually. The file is re-encoded without the private metadata payload.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG and WebP in modern browsers.
Is Pixhide free?
Yes. Remove EXIF data online with no account and no watermark.
