- Is Pixhide free?
- Yes. You can blur or pixelate license plates and number plates online without creating an account or paying for a watermark-free download.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. Detection and export run locally in your browser. Your car photo never leaves your device.
- Can blurred license plates be restored?
- Soft blur can sometimes be partially reversed. Pixhide defaults to strong pixelation, which rewrites the plate pixels and is harder to recover.
- Does it find every number plate?
- Not always. Small, angled, distant, or partly covered plates can be missed. Review the highlights and use the rectangle or brush tools for anything left visible.
- Does Pixhide remove GPS data?
- Yes. When metadata removal is enabled, GPS and other privacy-sensitive EXIF fields are stripped from the downloaded file.
- Does it work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes, in modern mobile browsers that support WebAssembly and canvas export. For the best experience use an up-to-date browser.
